How to backup the data

In a simple accent when we start to learn or do something, we’ve to understand How to backup the data. In that sense, I will define that here.

Before starting as usual I’ve to discuss the core definition of data backup.

Data backup is the practice of copying data from an elementary to a minor location to protect it in case of an inversion, accident, or malicious action. Data is like the backbone of the modern workplace, & losing data can cause massive damage & retard business activities. This is why backing up the data is critical for all businesses, large & small.

Now I’ll point out the pivotal fact about how the actual strategy to back up the data ;

Identify what to back up

First of all, we’ve to determine which files, documents, photographs & other data we want to back up. Generally, we do concentrate on necessary data & we think that we might have to make a backup plan for these. For example, personal files, documents, essential & important emails, etc. So identification is most important during what to back up or what to not.

Use an external hard drive

There are two types of external drives we can operate. One is a hard disk drive (HDD), and the other is a solid-state drive (SSD). HDD is a consideration of a succession technology, meaning they are much older & Inexpensive than SSD. SSD has many dynamic copy speeds & is typically more portable,

making it a better idea, but at a much higher cost. 

Here, most PCs come with software that automatically backs files to an external storage device. All we’ve to do is connect the external drive to our PC & the software does the rest. For example, beyond Android Apple computers use a machine that manages time to create an auto backup.

We can also use a third-party backup program if we don’t want our computer’s built-in backup software. These programs can sometimes be dynamic & much effective because they utilize cloud software.

Also can be manual data which is more time-consuming.

but it’s a good option if we don’t want to use backup software.

Use optical media

Optical media has a solution like a CD or DVD that can be used to make a copy of the data. We can solve several burners that allow us to copy & create an image of our files & important documents. Optical media is efficient because it provides a physical backup of our data that we can keep in a safe place. However, it is important to take that this method is not foolproof & the data can still be lost if the risk is damaged or scratched.

On the other hand, to back up sensorial data with an optical disk is to use a service like Mozy or Carbonite. These services allow us to store the data in the cloud & download it into an optical disk. Optical media is a great option if we don’t have a lot of space to stock a corporal backup.

Use an online service

We can back up our data with an online backup service by encrypting files, scheduling regular backups, & storing the backup files in a safe location. Online backup services are a great way to protect the data in case of a PC crash or theft. 

They grant security features like file encryption & password protection allowing us to schedule constant backups (full & incremental backups), so we don’t need to worry about losing data. Most of the time online backup services allow us to store our backup files in a secure location to rest assured that the data is safe & protected. 


In the end, as usual we brief vital parts of the content so here I’ll say the objective to back up the data should be the primary. Because to make a copy of data that has to be recovered & that can be in the case of a primary data failure. Primary data can be failed by hardware or software, rotten data, or a human cause, such as a malicious attack (malware or ransomware), or incidental data removal. Backup allows data to be regained from a previous point to hold the business to recover from an unknown instance.

And apart from all of that, I’d say these points are pivotal to back up the data.
